Sustaining and innovating video based services in Higher Education in times of crisis – Media & Learning Online 18-19 November

The agenda on 18 November is all about moving online with speakers including Scott Doyle, Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia, Maha Bali, American University in Cairo, Egypt, Steven D. Krause, Eastern Michigan University, USA, Jim Bain, Queen Margaret University, Scotland, UK, Olga Lucia Forlani & Silvano Pasquali, Verona University, Italy and Leen Van Rentergem, KU Leuven, Belgium along with a host of others sharing their experience, concerns and advice.

We will be talking about helping academics create their own resources with the input of Michael Wesch from Kansas State University, USA and the pros and cons of live online teaching, supporting student well-being, privacy considerations, proctoring and the re-purposing of facilities across the campus.  

 

On 19 November the topic shifts to AR and VR in Higher education with inputs from a host of innovators in this area includingNeil McDonnell from Mobius project in University of Glasgow, Mikhail Fominykh, from NTNU in Norway, Carl Boel from Ghent University, Belgium and the XR ERA team from Leiden University in the Netherlands. You can also pitch your idea for an AR/VR education app to our panel of experienced practitioners for feedback during the day.
